How plumbers save the world!

The plumbers are checking and rechecking all the measurements. (And marking the floor again) Tentatively set to cut the floor on tuesday.

Equipment Starts to arrive

Ceiling Tiles will have to come down first. And then we will have to figure out a place to store them so they do not get broken.

Equipment Package

Met with the equipment supplier this morning. First thing he did was measure all of the doors to figure out how he would stage and unload everything. That is why I like to work with people smarter than me as I am not sure I would have started there. After a few measurements we seem to be all clear.

Bldg Permit in hand!

After a few computer related glitches held us up yesterday, the GC went downtown and straightened everything out. Really wasn't a big deal as everyone had signed off that needed to but the computer that releases the permit was still spitting out not approved.

What color is your floor?

Meet with GC and floor company regarding the dinning room floor and the kitchen floor. Going with a stained floor in the dining room and a quartz granule for the kitchen floor. Many different colors to choose from. We have several we like and they tell us where we can see jobs in Durham with the same color. So in the next few days if you see me walking around area restaurants looking at floors, you will know what I am up to.

Got the feedback from the health department review. 24 items that they need clarification, more information, or outright changed. GC and I huddle and craft a response. Took the health departments' serv safe class last week, many of the items he pointed out were part of that class so our response doesn't take long. Now we wait for final building permit. Hopefully in the next day or so. Plumbers would like to get started on friday.

Health Department Plan Review

Picked up another set of plans this afternoon for the health department review. Will submit tomorrow morning. Hopefully our work last month with the health department will make for a smooth plan review.

reviewing the sprinkler work to be done. The as-builts for sprinkler system may be bigger than our whole plan. yikes. Seems to be a good guy bidding the work. nice but honest about where the problems may be.
