Measuring

Spent yesterday afternoon remeasuring the space with our architect. Double and triple checking the as-builts provided by the landlord to make sure walls etc were where they were supposed to be. Everything checked out fine, we were only off by about 1/8 inch on one wall, but I have heard horror stories about other operators who began construction and realized they had several less feet to work with.

Photo is from the model built for the original Green Tango.

Blue Tape

Found some painters tape. Began to mark off the space with the proposed layout.

When we were building the first Green Tango we did the same thing, actually going as far as building a model counter to stand behind. (Said counter is now a workbench in my garage)

This is a really important stage for Alissa and I, because it really gives us a chance to walk around, ask questions of the designer/architect, and make sure the decisions made on paper actually work out in the real world. So much easier (and less expensive) to make changes at this stage, than when you are three quarters of the way through construction.

P1 Plan and Spilled Coffee

Returned from a meeting with GC and the architect. Knee deep in the details when disaster struck. Oh well I need to cut back my caffeine anyway.

Going to mark off the space late today for a vitual walk through. If I can find some blue painters tape.

Pre planning meeting

First sitdown (been watching the sopranos too much lately) between architect, landlord, general contractor, and Green Tango tomorrow. Should be interesting.
